Aloha!  Just a little ‘bit’ about me in regards to what I do . . . . 

I am a self-taught/intuition type of designer and completely operate on the ‘visions’ that appear when I walk into each individual project. (No schooling or degrees in the design field) I am very adaptable to various budgets, and really have always enjoyed the challenges that come with a lower budgeted opportunity to make the space awesome! (Of course, I am also very good at spending money!!)  My beginnings were definitely in the budget category . . . . creating my own living spaces to where I was very happy and proud to be living in, from garage sales, what I already had, and lower budget ‘finds’ pretty much anywhere. Lot’s of refurbishing or re-purposing took, and still does, take place with various projects.

I prefer the rustic, worn, cultural look over pretty much anything else, but have been able to apply that to several, what I would call contemporary designs/remodels that I’ve completed, and am very pleased with the outcome . Most all of my original projects were vacation condos and so it was a lot of the island mix that most visitors enjoying when staying in Hawaii.

I am more the person to choose to do your remodel/design/decor if you don’t want to/can’t, or whatever it may be, yourself, and wish to leave the majority of the decisions to me.  I am learning to operate with more ‘instruction’ on choices, etc., but truly, my talents are best used with those that either ‘cannot’ or ‘don’t want’ to do it themselves and are willing to place their trust in me that I will produce a living space (full or part time)  that makes them happy.  That is a huge trust factor there of course, but to date, I seem to have been successful in every endeavor so far, and don’t believe that I would have a bad ‘review’ as of yet!  I absolutely love ‘the reveal’ and know that it is probably at least part of my motivation! (I have always loved giving impromptu and random gifts that surprise and make recipients happy, so I guess it has filtered over into this as well).

This website shows most of my projects, big and small, with all sorts of budgets and levels.  Most are vacation rental condos, but some are long term rental project upgrades, and then of course, my eclectic house!  The site can give anyone a good idea of what my ‘style’ is (if I have one?) plus more recent projects where I have been branching out a bit more on (mostly with larger budgets on the ‘branch outs’!)
